Privacy Policy

Scope of this Privacy Policy: We value the privacy of individuals who use our products and services. This Privacy Policy describes the information that Hoos McKechnie Apps4TV and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies (also referred to herein as "Apps4TV," "we", or "us") may collect from and about our users ("you" and "your household") and how we may use and share that information.
 
This Privacy Policy applies to all user-information collected by Apps4TV via its Products and Services, including but not limited to (1) Apps4TV's streaming content channels (such as Vyou Channel, Webcam One and others), (2) streaming content players and other internet connected playback technology (collectively "Devices"), (3) Apps4TV company and channel-related websites and newsletters ("Apps4TV Sites"), (4) email communications between you or persons in your household, and Apps4TV, and (4) Apps4TV's accounts on third-party social networking sites.

Part I. Information Collection: A variety of information is collected from or about you from various sources, as described below.

A. Information You Provide

a. Registration Information: When you sign up for a Apps4TV account, the personal information we collect is limited to your name and email address. If you sign up using a social media account, we may also receive information from those social networking services, for example, your name or user name. We do not collect mail addresses, though in the case you may have provided a mailing address via a 3rd party, we in any case limit data collection to city, state and country.

b. Payment and Shipping Information: Apps4TV does not collect payment or shipping information.

c. Communications: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us.

d. Information You Provide About Others: We also collect the personal information of other people, for example, if you provide email addresses of friends for referrals or other information as indicated above.

B. Information We Collect as You Use Apps4TV Services

a. Apps, Browser and Device Information: When you use the Apps4TV Services, we may collect information about the apps, browser and devices you use to access our services, such as device types and models, unique identifiers (including, for Devices, Advertising Identifiers associated with that device), IP address, operating system type and version, browser type and language, Wi-Fi network name and connection data, and information about other devices connected to the same network. For your Devices, we may also collect various quality measures, error logs, software version numbers and settings related to your Devices, and general demographic information, such as geographical region and time zone, that will be used to optimally setup Apps4TV Services.

b. Your Activity and Other Usage Information: We receive information about your interactions with the Apps4TV Services, such as when you access the Apps4TV Services, and how long you spend viewing them, interactions with content and advertisements, and settings and preferences.

Part II. Information Usage

A. Use by or on Behalf of Apps4TV: Information collected by Apps4TV may be used by Apps4TV and others on Apps4TV's behalf for the following purposes:

a. Support, Maintenance and Fulfillment: to provide and maintain the Apps4TV Services, and to process and fulfill your requests or orders;

b. Improvement of Products and Services: to understand and analyze our user base and how you use the Apps4TV Services, and to improve and enhance the Apps4TV Services, and to develop new products, services, features and functionality;

c. Personalization: to personalize your experience, including suggesting and offering you relevant content and recommendations;

d. Advertising: to show you personalized advertising on the Apps4TV Services, Third-Party Channels, and on third-party websites, mobile apps, platforms and devices, and to understand the effectiveness of such advertising;

e. Marketing and Promotions: for marketing purposes, including sending you emails and text messages about products, events, promotions and offers from Apps4TV or its partners or advertisers, and understanding the effectiveness of our marketing;

f. Analytics and Performance: to measure performance and analyze key metrics relevant to our business, using aggregated data without user-specific information;

g. Service Communication and Customer Care: to communicate with you, including sending you service information such as confirmations, notices, updates, security alerts, user surveys, and support and administrative messages; and to respond to your comments and questions and provide customer service;

h. Protect Apps4TV, our Users and Others: to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our business, partners or users; and

i. Security and Fraud Prevention: to protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, infringing or illegal activity.

Part III. Information Sharing

A. Your Sharing: You can share reviews or feedback on the Apps4TV Services on third-party sites including social networking sites. Information posted in these venues may be available to the public. You can also share with Apps4TV personal information of other people as described in "Information You Provide" under Part I, Section A above (e.g., for referrals or gift purchases). We rely on you to obtain the permission of those other people to allow us to collect their personal information. Please be mindful of your own privacy needs and those of others as you choose what to share and make public. We cannot control the privacy or security of information you choose to make public.

B. Apps4TV's Sharing

a. Service Providers and Vendors: Apps4TV uses third parties (including contractors and service providers) to provide services for us and to help with our operations, which may require that they access and use your information. For example, Apps4TV may use a third party to communicate with you (via email) about our products or services, to provide customer support, and to perform analytics and other work that we may need to outsource.

b. Analytics Providers: We use analytics services to collect and process certain analytics using only non-personal usage data of Apps4TV Services.

c. Advertising Partners: We may work with third-party advertising partners to show you advertisements that we think may interest you, on Apps4TV Services and on third-party websites, apps, and devices. These advertising partners may set and access their own cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies on the Apps4TV Services and they may otherwise collect or have access to information about you which they may collect over time and across different online services and devices. If you do not wish to receive personalized advertisements, you can read about your choices below under Part IV, Information Access and Choices.

d. Advertising Measurement Providers: We may work with third-party advertising measurement providers to help us and our advertisers understand the effectiveness of their ad campaigns. These measurement providers typically collect or receive information about your viewing of or interaction with advertisements, including advertisements that you might view on Apps4TV Channel and any affiliated Third-Party Channels. Apps4TV may also share your demographics data and audience segments (e.g. sports fans, sitcom enthusiasts, cord cutters, etc.) with advertising measurement providers.

Some advertising measurement providers act as our service providers and may only use the data they collect for purposes of providing services to Apps4TV. We may share information that personally identifies you directly with these providers, but if we do, we will not share your viewing data with them. Other advertising measurement providers use your information to provide services to their other clients, and we will not share information that personally identifies you directly with these providers. However, if these providers already have your identifiable information (e.g., if you have provided it to them or they have obtained it from a third party), then they may be able to associate that data with the information we provide to them. Measurement providers use your information to create statistics about what content and advertisements are being watched - for example, to help them and their clients understand the audience viewing the content or advertisements, and to measure the effectiveness of the advertisements.

e. Corporate Affiliates: We may share some or all of your information with our current or future "affiliates" (which means a parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control), in which case we will require our affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.

f. Consent: Apps4TV also may share personally identifying information with your explicit consent, for example, if you agree to our sharing of your personally identifying information with other third parties for their own marketing purposes, subject to their separate privacy policies.

g. Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers: Apps4TV may also share your information with others in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets to another company.

h. As Required by Law and Similar Disclosures: Apps4TV may also share your information to (1) comply with laws or to respond to lawful requests and legal process, (2) to protect the rights and property of Apps4TV, our employees, agents, customers, and others, including to enforce our agreements, policies, and terms of use, (3) in an emergency to protect the personal safety of Apps4TV, its employees or customers, or any person, or (4) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities.

i. Aggregated or De-Identified Information: We may also share aggregated or de-identified information (i.e., information that does not personally identify you directly), or statistical information about you, including demographics data and audience segments (e.g., sports fans, sitcom enthusiasts, cord cutters, etc.), with others for a variety of purposes, including for their own uses, for example, for improving their products and services for Apps4TV and others, and to make advertisements more relevant to your interests.

Part IV. Information Access and Choices

A. General Requests: You may send requests by email to: info@apps4.tv. However, Apps4TV may decline requests that are unreasonable, prohibited by law, or are not required to be honored by applicable law.

B. Email Marketing Choices: Our marketing emails tell you how to opt out of receiving further marketing emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing emails, such as emails about your accounts and our business dealings with you, and, as allowed by applicable law, requests for your participation in surveys.

C. Apps4TV Services and Personalized Advertising Choices

Apps4TV will follow the advertising framework guidelines of any host Device. In particular, if the Device supports personalized advertising, Apps4TV will abide by any opt out procedures or optional features provided in that advertising framework, such as.

a. Reset Advertising Identifier: In this case, the original identifier would no longer be used to display personalized advertisements on that Apps4TV Device.

b. Limit Ad Tracking: If checked on your Apps4TV Device:

Apps4TV would not use data that it collects from that Apps4TV Device to serve you personalized advertisements. You might still see advertisements when you use your Apps4TV Device, but they may be less relevant to you.

Apps4TV would not directly share ad measurement data and viewing data it collects from streaming channels on that Apps4TV Device with advertising measurement providers.

Part V. Data Storage, Transfer and Security

Apps4TV uses industry-standard methods of securing its electronic databases of personal information. However, you should know that no company, including Apps4TV, can fully eliminate security risks associated with personal information. To help protect yourself, please use a strong password, do not use the same password to access your Apps4TV account or its host device that you use with other accounts or services, and protect your user names and passwords to help prevent others from accessing your accounts and services.

Personal information we collect may be retained for as long as needed to fulfill legitimate business purposes, including the purposes outlined in "Information Usage" under Part II, or for a period of time specifically required or allowed by applicable regulations or laws.

Part VI. Modifications

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the amended version on the applicable Apps4TV Site or by providing such notice about or obtaining consent to changes as may be required by applicable law.
